Can't break Scout

Scout shifted uneasily in his chair, leaning on his functional arm.

"Come on, old man, why'd you help me?"

Blu Medic peered over one shoulder from what he was doing and raised an eyebrow. "I'm trying to teach you a lesson," he said, a grin spreading to his face that Scout could not determine as malicious or not. "You should be more careful."

"Oh yeah? What kinda lesson is that? Mind games? Are you tryin' to teach me how to get under peoples' skin?" He felt his neck growing hot. "'Cause... it's working."

"I promise, you're perfectly safe. Mercy, my friend, is something ve don't see enough of on ze field. You're not so different from our Scout, you know. He vhines too."

"Hey, I didn't whine!" Red Scout sat up taller, scrunching his nose up. "I've had plenty-a broken bones."

"Hhahahaha," laughed Medic. "You're free to go, little Rabbit."

Scout did so, quickly. It disturbed him to know that he had been treated with legitimate kindness from a member of the BLU team. That was unheard of. Whatever had driven that crazy doctor to help him though... whatever disease made any sort of person do anything nice at all... he sure was thankful for it.
