Khatix Adoptables

After some consideration, I have decided that three different users can apply for adoption of the same design. I will choose the best character made, and its creator will then have officially adopted the design.

The moment some of you have been waiting for has arrived. XD

These are the Khatix adoptables. It's my first time making them, so I hope I did alright.

I am going to be rather strict about who I let adopt these. I spent a couple of weeks on them, and expect whoever claims them to do a good job of creating a character.

First of all, if you claim one, you must draw it to the best of your ability. However, your drawing will not be all that is required. The following must be carefully thought out and filled out within a few days after you ask to adopt. The drawing must be completed within a week after the adoptable is claimed, otherwise you will not be eligible for the design (in a nutshell, you'll be disqualified for an adoption if it isn't completed on time.)

Please, take this seriously. If you plan to adopt, please don't let them just sit there. It would be nice to see you draw it every now and again.

As a general rule, I ask that you don't change their design in any way. That means no leg warmers, no collars, chokers, earrings, etc. I also ask that they not be able to turn into demons or monsters or anything like that. Please, the are Khatix, not superheroes, so I ask that you not go overboard with a million powers. I've seen way too much of that in characters. To be unique is to be human. We're all special in our own way, and none of us have superpowers, so consider that when you're making your character. I also want to note that these are not housecats... they aren't warriors, nor have the ever been and will they ever be warrior cats. These are Khatix, almost more like a marsupial than a feline, even if they have the appearance of one. Just wanted to clear up any confusion there.

If you'd like to know what a Khatix is, here is the information:

Khatix are cat-like marsupials that have a prehensile tail, live in "swarms", and have a very social way of life. They have strong back legs, which they can stand on for as long as they need to, and most often, live in trees or abandoned burrows. Khatix do not grow very large- no larger than a normal house cat, but their appearance differs from them. The nape of the neck is hairier, as well as the backs of their legs. Their ears are not shaped the same as a cat's, and their tails have either two, three, or four stripes on them (to not have any stripes might suggest a genetic defect). They can come in a variety of different colors (natural ones, though. You would not see a neon green or pink Khatix)

Khatix hunt in groups, and while they do like smaller prey, they have been known to take down animals as large as a small horse. Because of their small size and agile nature, they go often unharmed while it takes place. They are very vocal with one another, capable of making over a hundred different sounds, and hunt and live together much like a pride of lions. However, they are also different from lions in the fact that males do work, such as taking care of the young, and hunting or being a lookout, and two Khatix mate for life (a male can not have twenty "wives" like in a pride of lions .)

They frequently hide from larger predators, such as wolves, mountain lions, eagles, and other things that might want to snack on them. Confrontation is a rare thing to see, for the outcome is almost never pleasant for the Khatix.

Also, if you do use the character, please credit me for the Khatix race. I'd hoped that would be a given, but I decided to go ahead and mention it just in case.
